Mario Kart Wii Question: How do you turn your kart/bike at the start of a race before the countdown?

I’ve been watching some of the world record time trials on mario kart wii lately, and I noticed that some players turn their bike before they start to accerelate. Is this some kind of hack or cheat? If not I would be greatful to know how it’s done, thank you.

Well You mean the “boost” Well thats when you press your accellerate button a bit early and you get a small free boost. You should press the accelerate button on the 2nd light thing.
you just turn left and rright to turn in that direction during the start
it’s not a cheat or anything, you simple turn your wheel or whatever you use at the beginning of the race.
The 2nd lap and then they do lap and then they get the 2nd lap they.
The wheel like you turn your wheel as you are on bike you lift it back down pretty quickly if you turned the bike will be pointed in whatever direction you can start off the bike and put it the wheel you turned.
